HOT gets a new makeover!

Looking for a user friendly portal and CMS template was a tedious task.  The prior portal page did okay in displaying the forum’s statistics and other useful stats.  But we, as a design team, needed more.  We needed more content to the site, more flexibility when it comes to publishing A+ quality articles that our members demand, and most importantly we just needed something to do on a Sunday night.

Combing the internet only resulted in subpar templates that looked like it was 1997 all over again.  One particular platform kept popping up as we decided upon a redesign:  WordPress.  You might recognize WordPress (or WP, for short) as a ‘blogging’ platform.  But upon further research, we’ve found a gazillion many different uses for WP!  So it was only natural to see how well WP can be integrated with our current website theme and maybe even expand our capabilities at the same time! 

You’ll start to see a few changes happening within the next few days and weeks as we undergo this design update.  Yes, we’re doing this live baby!  If you experience any difficulty during this time period, don’t lose hope.  The message forums will stay open!  So check back for updates and announcements.
